What are Guide Dogs? Guide Dogs are assistance dogs trained to help the blind or visually impaired people lead a more independent life. They help their blind masters navigate around the obstacles that the sighted take for granted, and in this way make travel much safer for them.
Who We Are Guide Dogs Association Of The Blind (GDAB) was founded to provide Guide Dogs to blind and visually impaired Singaporeans. We create awareness of Guide Dogs and encourage a profound partnership between person and dog - and help to unleash the potential in both of them. But it does not happen by accident. It takes preparation, a world class training program, and support through life´s challenges.
What We Do We provide Orientation and Mobility training to blind individuals with the aim of getting them Guide Dogs. The process of getting a Guide Dog is a long one: it requires extensive training, especially for the blind person. Our training programme is taught by certified Orientation and Mobility instructors. In addition to this, we are also engaged in increasing awareness of Guide Dogs in Singapore, and seeking support for their use.
How to Help the Cause? The Guide Dogs Association Of The Blind is supported entirely through private donations. Everything we do—from transportation to room and board, including training and all our support services—is free of charge to the blind or visually impaired.

Help us by creating awareness for the association and the cause! Request for a talk/seminar conducted by our volunteers to your organization or tell your friends about us.
